Guilt-ridden Weekend

It's Monday again and yet what happened last weekend seemed like a dream. Well more like a nightmare. In only an hour, i've kissed goodbye to all the money that i've been saving up for my beloved W800i. :( There's no one i can blame except for my greed and of course the Estee Lauder Companies Staff Sale.

It was really crazy! The sales boasts brands such as Estee Lauder, MAC, Stila, Bobbi Brown, Clinique, DKNY, Tommy etcera etcera and the prices were bloody cheap!! It was a WORKING Saturday and yet i woke up even before the break of dawn so that i won't be late meeting up my colleagues at Renaissance. Started queing up at around 6++ and since we were so kaisu and yet paise to admit, gave away the first spot in line to a group of Aunties. There, at least those Aunties seem more desperate than us! :D When the doors to the grand ballroom opened, it was like a stampede. Even the guys guarding the door had to move aside least they were pushed down.

The prices of the stuff in there are seriously very marked down!!! Especially the Clinique and Lauder products. Lemme see, the Clinique perfume was like RM50 for 50ml and i almost got it before discarding it for the Beyond Paradise perfume which cost 130 for a 50ml bottle! I think retail price for that is like almost 200 so definitely a bargin. Then got myself the Clinique body butter for only RM20 and guess what the retail price is 110! Haha even cheaper than my Body Shop's body butter! So buy lah, anyway sometime in the future when i finally finish using my Body Shop body butter i'm gonna need it. Then got this concealer from Bobbi Brown. It's really good for covering and concealing undereye dark circles. Cost just as much as the body butter so of course it's a buy. There were lots of Stila shimmery powder, illuminating foundation and also lip colors but had to give all those up for my MAC eyeshadows. Haven't tried out the color yet but the casing is soooo nice!!! It's a shiny metallic purple case with the word "MAC"studded in jewels on the cover! It even came with a velvet purple cover so that you don't scratch the metallic casing. Couldn't resist it so didn't have the heart to throw it into the "Can't Buy" plastic bag. I grabbed lots of bottles of perfume too. Especially those gift packs. Very very worth it. But then again, stopped by insufficient funds. :( In the end, had to put back most of the things i wanted to buy. Sad lah. Money tak ada, shopping also tak cukup puas. Hmmm but at least better than my colleague la. Spend even more than me and EVERYTHING is makeup!! Haha bet she feels even more guilty than me. Nyek nyek.. After only about 1 hour of sinful shopping, we have already paid for the goods and hailed a cab RIGHT back to work!

Went for dinner and Memoirs of a Geisha later on with my sis & couz at night. Had dinner at this shop called Mama Kitchen Restaurant at Damansara (i forgot which part) famous for its Claypot Lou Shi Fan and Marmite pork ribs. Mmmmm... delicious!! Memoirs of Geisha was quite good too but it had a little too much of Zhang Ziyi in it. And i kindda forgot the ending in the book already. Was it the same as the movie's? Didn't remember Sayuri having blue eyes either. Anyhow, it was wortha watch.

SO, CNY shopping spree this weekend!!! Anyone?? Anyone?? ;)
