Love my food, hate my tummy

It's been awhile since my last post and somewhere in between, i've been eating damn alot and getting irrevocably fat. Hate feeling my clothes getting tighter and uncomfortable. Really need to start keeping track of the junk i put in my mouth else i'll probably grow beyond recognition. Even Adrian who sees me practically every day says i'm getting fleshier. Sigh... why isn't my weekly swimming attempt proving useful? Damn! Anyway, following pictures shows why.

Dinner with my sisters and *ahem my sisters new bf at none other than my favorite Korean restaurant in Jalan Ampang. ;) I know you guys just started and all. But I hope he is the one for you and that you can be happy this time.

Dinner at BBQ Plaza with Engwei. Look at him. Dem happy bbq-ing the beef. We ordered the mixed(pork + beef + seafood + chicken) set. Kindda regretted we did not just order the beef plate cos it was just so much nicer than the rest. ;)

Staff dinner at Crown Princess the following day. As usual, we were the rowdiest and we grabbed all the good food. All the salmons and sushis and mussels and prawns. Too bad the sushi and salmon wasn't all that fresh. The bbq stuff were great though. And the ice creams topped with melting chocolate, peanuts and crunchy wafer. Mmmmm.... simply mouth watering!!

You would have thought that was the end of it and it was time for my tummy to rest but no. That weekend i met up with some old friends and boy we talked and talked and talked. And our bottomless food and drinks at Chillis never stopped coming too!!!

Dinner with larling, engwei and andrea at 1U. Lots of 'seriously lame joke' and as usual the joke's on Engwei hehe -_-''' Stayed over at Kat's place after that too. Reminds me of those days when i used to go to your room and talk nonsense 'cept that we are no longer in mlk and no longer getting any younger! Anyway, it was nice catching up with you. Pirates of the Carribean 2 next ya!! :D

Edit: Faintly recalling going to pasar malam (Night market) last friday and all the food i gorged on. Hmmm.... the list goes something like this :- fried sotong/fish/meat balls/nuggets, fried chicken wings, ha peng(prawn crackers), sate, fried carrot cake, asam laksa, sweet corn and drinks. Am i crazy or what?

Bangkok

It seemed like an eternity ago since my Thailand trip.(29/4 ~ 5/2) You know, arriving at the Land of Smiles, walking in the dusty roads, travelling in Tuk-Tuk cars, sweating ALOT almost to the point of cursing the extremely hot and humid weather, crazy shopping frenzy, and well... just spending some quality time with my sis. I won't say I truly miss my holidays there but it certainly isn't the place to go if you want a relaxing and enjoyable(unless you consider sweating while shopping enjoyable) holiday getaway. Anyway, here are some pictures from Thailand. Not really in the mood of writing so it's gonna be lots n lots of pictures. ;)

  1. First in the line of kiasu ppl to board in LCC
  2. Our first stop - The 4 faced Buddha. Unfortunately though, it has been replaced with only a picture as it has been smashed by vandals. Urgh.
  3. Awww.... cute elephant!! :P
  4. Pratunam Market - Lots of food, clothes and accessories.

  1. Fried quail's egg! Looks so delicious eh?
  2. Errr some local delicacy. It taste okay only. Not really nice

  1. Dumpling
  2. Looks like shit eh? Don't be fooled, it's pork actually. They sell pork everywhere! I think it'll be hard for a Muslim to taste road-side stalls local delicacies as it probably won't be halal.

  1. Mayonaise kuih
  2. Delicious fried fish cakes. Taste almost the same as the one in Bangkok Jazz. But simply yummy!!

  1. My sis.. see the resemblance? ;)
  2. They serve raw crabs!! Urgh... Needless to say, I didn't try those

  1. The streets are full of surprises. Was enjoying my road-side stall food on the sidewalk and suddenly there's an elephant!! Scared the hell outta one of us. :D
  2. Enjoying a foot massage right outside a mall. Darn cheap... RM10 for an hour. What more can one ask for?

  1. Our Tuk-Tuk car experience hehe.
  2. Chatuchak market map. Dem the place is H-U-G-E!!! Seriously, I never quite got my directions right despite the map and being lost is there is like the norm. It's quite fun tho' being lost. 'Cos you get to discover lots of different shops and it was a really interesting experience.

  1. Shopping in one of the many itsy bitsy teeny weeny little shops there.
  2. Having a coconut after shopping there is like Heaven!! It's hot, humid, stuffy and just plain terrible to shop in the heat. My new found love in thailand -> coconuts :D

  1. Taking a ride along the Chao Phraya river. Lots of main temples are accesible through this river.
  2. Temple of Dawn or also known as Wat Arun

  1. Me n ma sister at the Temple of Dawn. Taken right after we alight from the boat.
  2. Nice big view of the Temple. It's kindda weird blogging about this now as I'm watching the 12th episode of ANTM which just happens to be at the very same temple!!

  1. Wat Pho - Temple of the Reclining Buddha
  2. The magnificient looking gold-plated Reclining Buddha.

  1. Silly photograph in taxi
  2. Look Ronald Mcdonald's in Thailand haha...

  1. Thai Massage. The best on earth. Seriously!! I love love loveeee it!!!
  2. No trip to Thailand would be complete without a visit to the red light district. So there we were in Patpong. Gullible tourist visiting the center of prostitution just waiting to be cheated. And got cheated we did. Supposed to pay a mininimal amount to watch the infamous Ping Pong show. Got a freaking inflated bill after that. But well it was an experience and it's really GROSS!!! Urgh... i mean i kesian them la, but also it's disgusting. Yucks! Imagine they put the ping pong balls in their *ahem* and start shooting it at you. Come on we are all girls, can't u see that we are NOT interested?? Still keep shooting some more. I was like playing dodging all the way through the show. Dodging everything that they threw at me. Not a pleasant experience at all!

After a long and tiring trip, it was time to pack and go home. Bye thailand... Bye holidays.....

Distracted

...

... The phones are ringing incessantly.
... Someone is talking on the phone.
... Someone is talking with another person.
... Someone is making calls with the phone on speaker mode.
... Heavy and light footsteps thump ceaselessly on the carpeted floor.
... Clanking cups signal the arrival of the cleaner lady making her daily rounds.
... The continuous tapping of the keyboard occasionally followed by the familiar backspace tap
... Papers are torn and thrown.
... Dot matrix printer is buzzing irritatingly in the background.
... Loud stamping noise marking the end of a filed case for some.

Oh a call for me… And here I’m wondering why I can’t seem to concentrate on a single thing.

Edit: I need a stress ball. *hint hint*

Be warned, post contains vulgarity

Got pissed off by some damn fucking bastards today. Bastards cooked up some story and thought everybody's intellectual capacity is lower than matched their 3-year-old half-assed dim wit brain. No matter how great u bastards think you are and no matter how much greater heights you can achieve, the only respect and recognition you can get is earned through treachery and deceit.

I'm still alive

I'm gonna break my blog-fast now cos i'm so extremely sleepy and the only thing that can keep me awake is to write nonsense. :P I haven't been blogging for such a long time. Wonder if anybody still reads it. Lots of things have happened though. Past 2 months have been hectic and definitely served as a lesson well-learnt. But let's just leave it at that and move on to happier things.

Gosh, so many things to update and i don't quite know where to start! Going way way back to after Chinese New Year, came back from holidays with wonderful news. Bank Negara came out with a ruling of 5-day week for banks and all its groups. And so... No more compulsory working Saturdays wishing i was still sleeping at home! Hee hee... As though that isn't enough, my company organized its annual dinner right after that and the company was abuzz with people talking and planning for the upcoming trip. It was a 2 days affair where we headed off to the sandy beaches of Cherating, Terengganu. The theme for the event was Aloha aka anything Hawaiian and No, i don't own anything that is even remotely Hawaiian! :D There are some who really went all out and specially rent Hawaiian costumes and all. Super-semangat! Spend money to RENT IT! Me... I just wore something flowery. Only Aloha thing on me was this fake flower pin that my roomie loaned me hehe. Even though the food that night wasn't all that great, it was really fun having a bonfire dinner by the beach and it was especially so when you spend it with the crazy people you work with! Ha ha... Our table was definitely the rowdiest and considering that it's an all-girls table, the guys should be ashamed! I guess being loud and noisy must have brought us good luck since the winner of the grand prize of the lucky draw for the night was from our table! Congrats congrats libelly. :) I also got something. But compared to her 34 inch tv, the oven i won was nothing lah. Not like i use it anyway. The thing is, I DON'T bake. Anybody wana come my house to bake? I provide oven and makan service. Lai lai lai....

Err after that, it was bonus & increment time. (Hmm now that i think back, company was spending lots of money at that time) I tell you, when it comes to sensitive issues like that, you can see the gossip-mongers at their best. How they fake around to find out who got how much, who got promoted, who got this, who got that. You name it, they know it. Really take my hat off them man. Seriously, how could people lived life for so long already and yet still behave so naively??? I guess they serve as a good reminder of who NOT to be when you get older. >:)

Oh, almost forgot.....

BANGKOK HERE I COME~~~~!!!!
Yes, yes, yes i've booked myself a holiday and flying off to Bangkok this weekend!!!! Motivating myself now.. thinking of all the shopping i can do.. *Adrenaline pumping!* all the cheap things i can buy... *Adrenaline pumping!* All the food i'm gonna eat... *Adrenaline pumping!* All the places im gonna go *Adrenaline pumping!!*
